Everything You Need to Know About Our Programs

At Vsuccess Education, we’re committed to the quality of every minute of every lesson—so each child achieves the maximum learning success here.

Primary Maths (Years 1–6)

Our Primary Maths program is written by in-school teachers, aligned to the Australian Curriculum and enriched with Asian problem-solving styles. We focus on concepts, worked examples and solution strategies—building a solid foundation in the primary years to power later maths success.

Background

In many Western classrooms, teachers encourage “learning through play”. A typical 50-minute maths period may spend ~30 minutes on games, with only brief practice before/after class. While this supports creativity, it often lacks targeted, systematic practice.

Primary students also sit fewer assessments. Families mainly receive feedback via twice-yearly parent–teacher meetings and standardised tests such as NAPLAN. Children need more frequent checkpoints to understand strengths and gaps and to build exam confidence early.

Program Features

In our optimisation program, we break the curriculum’s three strands—Number & Algebra, Measurement & Geometry, and Statistics & Probability—into 15–17 structured units. Through step-by-step progression and varied question types, students learn to transfer knowledge, recognise patterns and apply skills flexibly.

Schedule
  • Frequency: Once per week, 2 hours per lesson

  • Assessment: Mid-term and end-of-term tests for each course

  • Terms: Follow the Victoria school term dates

Secondary Maths (Years 7–12)

After completing our Primary program, students have a solid grasp of basic operations and introductory algebra. In Secondary, we strengthen textbook knowledge and build independent study skills, analytical thinking, and abstract logical reasoning.

Background

In primary years the focus is often on literacy and numeracy. Entering secondary school, academic pressure increases: beyond English and Maths there are Science, Humanities, Arts and PE to balance. Students must not only learn content, but also learn how to learn efficiently.

Program Features

For each topic, teachers scaffold learning with clear modelling, guided practice and targeted drills to consolidate knowledge and raise results. We train students to use multiple problem-solving strategies and mathematical reasoning so they can tackle unfamiliar questions—studying effectively and efficiently through the senior years and into VCE.

Schedule
  • Frequency: Once per week, 1.5–2 hours per lesson (depending on class level)

  • Assessment: Weekly quizzes plus mid-term and end-of-term tests

  • Terms: Follow the Victoria school term dates

Teaching Materials Showcase

The Core Mathematics series used at Vsuccess Education is written in-house by our teaching team. It follows the structure of the Australian Curriculum, enriched with more Asian-style problem-solving, and includes graduated difficulty for each year level. Every chapter is organised into four strands—Understanding, Fluency, Problem-Solving, and Reasoning—so students get balanced practice across all areas of maths.
